Well, my bike is still in the shop . . . I got the thing 6 weeks ago and rode it for a week, then trouble. The thing is the mechanic called and told me that he started it up just fine several times, rode it around, everyhting was cool (except the back brakes need changin. That sounds like good news but it ain't. Before I brought it in I would go to start it and all I would hear was a click . . thats it. Before I brought it in a changed out the starter relay and got a new battery, it ran for me for a day, then started with the just clicking again. But now ater the mechanic had it sitting for a week (they were VERY backed up) it started fine. . .) the reason this is bad news is that I feel that when i get it back it will start giving me the same problem after a day or two . .
Any advice on what it may be? a short somewhere? woudl it be a good idea to get a new electrical system? would that be costly? it is a 1986 model . ..
